The island’s meeting point for local and international artists, held every September in San Nicolas.
San Nicolas had become a fading refinery town that tourists were told to avoid. I wanted to fill its empty buildings with art and give people a reason to come back.
The Aruba Art Fair fills the streets and empty buildings of San Nicolas with art for three days. More than 100 artists show and sell their work at every edition, from first-time exhibitors to established names.
Each edition has a theme that artists answer in their own way. Since 2022 the fair is the closing weekend of Art Week Aruba.
