Why I started it

Our answer to the Justice theme: creative workshops for the women at the Korrektie Instituut Aruba (KIA).

What it is

MiSO started in August 2024 as Made Inside, our answer to the Art Week theme Justice. Twice a week, makers from Space21 teach embroidery, jewellery and textile work inside KIA.

The pieces are sold under the MiSO name, “luxury, not charity”, and every sale goes into the maker’s own reintegration fund. Their work was shown at the Aruba Art Fair as “Justice in Craft”, and the women walked at Art Fashion.
